The Position

binx is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented professional to join our growing team! The Staff Accountant is a newly-created role in the U.S. that will be responsible for all aspects of billing, credit and accounts receivable. You will also work to prepare journals in the support of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closes and support general ledger activities, audit activities and various projects. In so doing, you will inform business decisions and strategies by analyzing data and trends. The successful candidate will have demonstrated her/his ability to partner with people throughout the Company and provide critical insight in making informed financial decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Full responsibility of all billing and collection activities of the Company
  • Prepare and review weekly Accounts Receivable aging reports for all entities with Finance management; review and resolve past due items with customers to ensure timely collection of receivables
  • Prepare journal entries and reconciliations for accounts receivable, allowance for doubtful accounts and bad debt.
  • Calculate and record customer rebates, chargebacks, channel fees and royalties
  • Analyze and record sales for individual customers
  • Assist in preparation of monthly flash reporting to senior management
  • Conduct credit control procedures for new and existing customers
  • Oversee fixed asset register and ensure proper recording of depreciation and amortization; conduct periodic audits of fixed assets
  • Support journal entries and reconciliations for prepaid and accrual accounts
  • Support review of employee expense reports to ensure adherence to company travel policies
  • Collaborate with team members to resolve accounting issues and streamline processes
  • Other duties, as assigned

Education, Experience, and Demonstrated Skills

  • BA/BS in Accounting or Finance; 1-2 years of experience required
  • Proven proficiency using MS Office; advanced Excel experience a big plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to prepare and deliver information to team members and management
  • Highly organized with great attention to detail
  • Ability to identify issues, perform research and present possible solutions
  • Experience with large ERP systems a plus
