The Position

To work in the Quality Control department, maintaining stocks, making up reagents, and maintaining the laboratory environment within our Quality Management System (QMS).

Responsibilities

• Maintain laboratory stocks
• Laboratory maintenance and administration
• Making up reagents for testing
• Equipment management and calibration
• Lab cleaning
• Temperature monitoring
• PO requisition of laboratory consumables
• Goods receipt and labelling
• QC Testing under supervision
• Document management within the QMS
• Communication within the QC Team and with peers in other teams

Education, Experience, and Demonstrated Skills

• A HND, Foundation degree or BSc in a relevant biological science or equivalent laboratory work experience is essential.
• Experience of working to SOPs/work instructions is desirable.
• Knowledge or experience of PCR/molecular techniques is desirable.
• Ability to work to timescales and deadlines is essential.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team is essential.
• Ability to follow detailed procedures accurately is essential.
• Good self/time management is essential.
